How Astraea handles your data, in plain words. Questions or requests: [email protected]. See also the Terms of Service.

What Astraea uses

Discord user and server identifiers, qualifying activity amounts, timestamps, streak history, profile preferences and server configuration. Message qualification uses transient fingerprints and categories. Raw conversations and voice audio are not stored in the database or logs.

Optional AI moderation: only in servers where the Astraea bot owner switched it on (not available to other servers), each message (and each edit) is sent to Groq’s AI service to check for swearing. When the AI flags a message, it gets a second look together with the last few messages of that channel (without names) so jokes and banter are understood. Flagged messages are deleted and the member is warned; the bot keeps the member, channel and reason for 30 days, never the message text.

What other members see

Server-members visibility lets people in your community see your Flame card and rankings. Private profiles stay out of other-user lookups, member leaderboards and public completion announcements. Aggregate participation can include valid private activity without listing that member.

Servers can choose to publish a public page on this website. It shows the server name, icon, description, links, Server Flame and anonymous totals (for example how many members reached a milestone). Public pages never list member names, avatars or IDs.

Administrator-selected Discord reward roles remain visible on Discord. Making an Astraea profile private stops new public reward assignments; it does not silently remove previously earned permanent Discord roles.

Reminders stay quiet and easy to stop

Risk reminders are on by default when you have a running streak, and you can switch them off at any time (in /settings, /flame, /time, your profile, or the button in every reminder). The server can disable them too. One combined risk message covers active unfinished Flames near reset, with one account-wide attempt per 24 hours. Every reminder offers an opt-out. Blocked DMs disable reminders until you enable them again.

Retention and access

Transient qualification windows are bounded and expire after ten minutes. Detailed activity receipts expire after two days. Progress and Flame history persist for the product. Sign-in sessions expire within 7 days and are authenticated/encrypted; credentials are not exposed to client JavaScript.

Encrypted server backups are kept for 30 days and service logs for 30 days. Anonymous command totals are kept for 90 days.

Security and privacy are free fundamentals. To export or delete your data, email [email protected] from a way we can link to your Discord account; requests are handled by the operator with protected tools (there is no self-service button yet).
